Description

Aperico Software is an indie game developer based in Sweden with a passion for MMO games. Likes to create and play multiplayer games, preferably with a competitive element. Aperico Software has been creating cross-platform games for the last couple of years. Trying to bring more complex concepts such as real-time multiplayer across all platforms together in one game. The vision is that you should be able to play with or against your friends no matter what computer or mobile device they have. For example one player using Windows playing against someone with an iPad on the same terms and conditions. All code is made in-house and resources such as 3d-models and sound effects are outsourced to talented artists.

History

Started out in 1999 as system and software developer with focus on network programing and reverse engineering. Created a lot of corporate intranet software but also some stand-alone software for end-users. The most prominent is probably PokerOffice which is a real-time statistics and analysis software for online poker.

Aperico Software wanted to start creating indie games since online gaming has been a passion for a long time. Adopted the LibGDX framework early on for cross-platform access to openGL and game creation. Aperico did a lot of experimenting and released a couple of “zero-cost” games on Google Play. For the last two years the focus has been on a game called Skellitown. This time it is not a "zero-cost" game but a lot of resources has be put into the game. Skellitown is an cross-platform multiplayer game with MMORPG-style combat and character progression. The game is scheduled for release late this year and will be applying for Steam Greenlight.
